Our History
Established on December 31st, 2001 by Anthony Fitton, Rachael Farrow, Robert, and Shirley Macken, Ausplant has undergone a remarkable journey. Initially, it operated as a solo endeavor, with Robert and Shirley serving as silent partners and business mentors, while Tony emerged as the face of the company. Rachael contributed as the company secretary and bookkeeper, working diligently behind the scenes.
Over time, Ausplant has flourished into a hub of excellence, particularly for aspiring plant mechanics and tradespeople embarking on their apprenticeships. Tony's blend of patience, extensive qualifications, innate talent, and a profound commitment to passing on traditional techniques and knowledge has shaped him into an exceptional mentor. His life philosophy, encapsulated in the motto "you never stop learning," underscores the company's ethos of continuous growth and knowledge sharing across generations.
From its modest beginnings with a single Dyna stick-shift truck and a backyard shed brimming with inventory, Ausplant Mechanical Services Pty Ltd has expanded significantly. Through Tony and Rachael's relentless efforts, the company now operates seven service trucks (including two with cranes), a fleet of hire forklifts, and a state-of-the-art workshop situated in South Windsor.
Today, Ausplant prides itself on offering a diverse range of specialty services, encompassing plant and agricultural repair and maintenance, radiator and fuel tank repair, automotive air conditioning installation and repair, gas compliance certification, auto electrical services, and light automotive mechanics and small engine repair.
